We are seeking a recent Engineering graduate to join our client's team for a 12-month graduate internship based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated graduate who is eager to gain practical experience in external sales and business development within the engineering sector while building a successful career in technical sales.

Duties & Responsibilities

Assist with developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.
Conduct regular customer visits throughout Northern KwaZulu-Natal.
Support the External Sales team with business development initiatives.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales-related documentation.
Follow up on customer enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
Conduct market research and identify potential growth opportunities.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
Attend product training, customer meetings, and industry events as required.
Represent the company professionally while promoting its products and services.

Job Requirements

Completed a BEng Degree in Engineering.
A diploma / certificate in business management will be advantageous.
Recent graduate looking to gain practical sales experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong customer service and relationship-building abilities.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn.
Comfortable with extensive travel throughout Northern KwaZulu-Natal.
Good planning, organisational, and time management skills.
Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's licence (essential).
