SUMMARY: A leading manufacturing and production organisation is seeking a qualified Electrician to join its maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical equipment to ensure maximum plant availability, safety, and operational efficiency.

POSITION INFO: Key Responsibilities Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and plant equipment. Install, test, and commission electrical systems, motors, drives, and control circuits. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential electrical issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain electrical drawings, maintenance records, and documentation. Ensure compliance with electrical regulations, safety standards, and company procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime. Assist with shutdowns, upgrades, and plant improvement projects. Work closely with production and maintenance teams to achieve operational targets. Ensure housekeeping and safety standards are maintained within the work area. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric). Qualified Electrician with a recognized Trade Test (Red Seal). 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, or production environment. Strong knowledge of electrical fault-finding, motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems. Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings. Valid driver's licence will be advantageous. Key Competencies Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
