Drivers Required (Cape Town)

• Must be able to follow instructions given by any Line Manager or Airline Co-ordinator.
• Ensure compliance with ramp safety regulations - Safety conscious.
• Load aircraft according to check list provided.
• Load trucks timeously as per the expected box times and flight schedules, ensuring that you abide by the company policies and procedures.
• Offloading vehicle in an orderly and safe manner in the designated area.
• Providing guidance to truck driver at airside and at the unit.
• Working safely and securely in the preparing of wet/dry ice.
• Ensure transportation/ramp/dispatch area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Abide by laws and requirements of ACSA Airside regulations.
• Reporting of any incidents/accidents involving vehicle, staff, aircraft to Duty Manager and Operations Manager.
• Conduct vehicle cleaning once at the Unit on a daily basis to ensure that the vehicles are in good clean condition.
• Assist in the on-time and accurate departure of catering to all assigned flights.
• To work within the confines of elevated security procedures.
• Abide security requirements, including searches, seal documents and information that security needs.
• Ensure Customer’s goods are secured, prepared, handled, stored, transported and delivered in the most hygienic, safe and efficient way.
• Handle Airline equipment according to company standards.
• Ensure that all HACCP standards are maintained according to the company policies and procedures.
• Ensure that you wear the company uniform (Clothing and Safety Shoes) provided on a daily basis in a professional and respectable manner.
• Ensure that your ACSA permit is up to date and report any issues to the Operations Manager.
• Wash and Sanitize Trucks
• Load & Offload Trucks
• Strip Carts
• Pack Dishwash machines after carts are stripped
• Pack Equipment for relevant flights
• Any other reasonable task that may be required by management

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Code 10, 11 or 14 Drivers License & PDP

Experience & Other Requirements

• 1 Years’ Experience
• Must be able to work shifts, weekends and Public Holidays
• Will be required to work overtime when necessary
