SUMMARY: Cash In Transit Driver

POSITION INFO: Job Introduction This role is responsible for accepting accountability and responsibility by becoming the custodian of the IZI vehicle and assets, during operational deployment and performing Cash in Transit (CIT) services for dedicated schedule, whilst ensuring compliance with all companies policies, driver operating procedures and directives Main Responsibilities Vehicle & Equipment Inspections: Perform mechanical roadworthiness checks and system inspections before and after each shift, escalating any defects to management. Incident & Safety Reporting: Immediately report accidents, suspicious activities, or vehicle immobilizations to the Control Room and relevant authorities. Security & Compliance: Adhere to mandatory security principles, including wearing protective gear, performing security drills, and obtaining authorization before exiting the vehicle. Safe Driving: Operate company vehicles in compliance with the Road Traffic Act and company health and safety standards. Route & Schedule Management: Execute scheduled trips according to route optimization practices and report any deviations or delays to the Control Room. Operational Logistics: Ensure all necessary equipment (radios, scanners, keys) is functional and that the vehicle is refuelled and cleaned for the next shift. Health & Safety Safety Culture: Maintain a \"Safety First\" approach to protect the crew, assets, and public, while participating in safety forums and training programs. Requirements PDP license PSIRA Grade C Certification Cash In Transit Certification SAPS Firearm Competency for Handgun Certificate Statement of Results report from Professional Firearms Trainers Council (PFTC) or Safety and Security Sector Education and Training Authority (SASSETA) for Firearm with Business purposes No credit record No criminal record May not be a registered as a director of any company \/ business New applicants must avail themselves for a pre-shooting assessment and OBET training No transport or accommodation is paid by IZI South Africa
