Call for Expression of Interest: Domestic Sub-Contractors

1. Overview & Purpose

Silo Construction SA is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from reliable, and qualified domestic sub-contractors to join our preferred vendor panel for current and upcoming construction projects across KwaZulu Natal Province .

The objective of this EOI is to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships with trade specialists, streamlining procurement and ensuring guaranteed supply chain capacity for both active projects and our pipeline of future tenders.

2. Trade Categories

We invite submissions from domestic sub-contractors across all core building trades, including but not limited to:

• Civil & Groundworks: Site clearance, earthworks, foundations, drainage, paving.
• Structural & Trades: Bricklaying, masonry, concrete reinforcement, structural steel erection.
• Carpentry & Joinery: shop fitting, roof trusses, architectural joinery, etc.
• MEP (Building Services): Domestic & commercial plumbing, electrical installations, HVAC, fire protection.
• Finishing Trades: Plastering, drywalling, tiling, floor coverings, painting, decorating.
• Specialist Packages: Waterproofing, roofing, glazing, scaffolding, insulation.

4. Partner Qualification Criteria

To qualify for our ongoing contractor panel, prospective partners must demonstrate:

• Legal & Statutory Compliance: Valid company registration, tax compliance, and required trade licenses.
• Safety Standard: Active Health & Safety management system.
• Work History: Minimum of 1 year of operational experience with a proven track record of quality delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Adherence to statutory building regulations and industry quality assurance protocols.

5. Submission Requirements

To apply for inclusion on our preferred sub-contractor panel, please submit a digital application packet containing:

• Company Profile: Detailing core competencies, geographical coverage, and key team members.
• Compliance Documentation: Tax clearance certificate, registration details,
• Project Portfolio: Brief case studies of 3 completed projects within the past 3 years, including contract values and reference contact details.
• Resource Statement: Summary of directly employed workforce, equipment assets, and typical capacity levels.
