This is a remote position.
The SAE Institute Distance Learning Campus is looking for a Gaming Production and Design Lecture to join our academic team
The purpose of this role is to facilitate, offer students support and share your passion for gaming production and the related industry with students. The application of sound assessment principles and meeting higher education standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet the institutional required pass rate
- Marking assessments and providing feedback to students
- Responsible for student '' at risk" tracking counseling and support
- Partake in curriculum development and improvement reviews
- Meet the required industry time and research output
- Ensure the student satisfaction
- Conduct administrative task related to modules facilitated
- Facilitating online discussion and forums
- Staying up to date with online facilitate
- Passion for the company mission
- Positive attitude and endurance
- Extreme attention to detail
- Organized, efficient, and accurate in performance
- Skilled communication
- Patient and helpful
Requirements
- A Masters(NQF Level 9) related qualification essential.
- Initial bachelor's degree (NQF Level 7)Qualification needs to be related field (Gaming Production,Scripting,Digital Art
- A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of 2 years lecturing /teaching experience with high education .
- Online Facilitation experience beneficial.
- Proficient in Learning Management System and MS Office computer software.
- Strong Admin ability.
- Curriculum and assessment knowledge
Experience
- Experience in providing student support
- Knowledge of academic compliance with the higher education sector
- Proficient in computer software,apps,social media and technology in general
- Must be knowledgeable about games studies and theory.
- Must have a solid grounding in C# PROGRAMMING,C++would be a bonus
- Must have experience of the Unity,Twine and unreal Engine gaming engine
- Software knowledge can include Blender/Maya for 3D pipeline and Krita /Photoshop for 2Dpipeline
- Experience in 3Dand 2D unity workflows and game asset creation preferred
