VACANCY: DIESEL MECHANIC (CRUSHER EXPERIENCE)
Location: Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

Purpose of the Role
Qala-Quarry (Pty) Ltd is seeking a qualified Diesel Mechanic with crusher experience to maintain and repair quarry mobile plants and crushing equipment, ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability and safe operation. First preference will be given to candidates residing in Durban.
Minimum Requirements
· Grade 12 (Matric)
· Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Trade Test)
· Minimum 3 years' experience in a quarry/mining environment
· Proven experience maintaining crushing and screening equipment
· Experience on excavators, loaders and dump trucks
· Valid driver's licence
· Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Perform preventative maintenance on diesel-powered mobile plant and crushing equipment.
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
· Service crushers, screens, conveyors and feeders.
· Repair heavy earthmoving equipment.
· Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime.
· Complete job cards and maintenance reports.
· Maintain a safe, clean workshop and comply with safety procedures.
· Inspect equipment and recommend repairs.
