Debtors Clerk | South Africa | R450,000 – R500,000 - per annum (+ benefits) | Media

An opportunity has arisen for an Debtors Clerk to join a global, award-winning, performance-driven content leader and brand publishing agency on a permanent basis. You will be joining at an exciting time as they have had some incredible growth and are looking to grow their headcount. This is a remote role working in a diverse and driven brand.

Details of the role:

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be working in their transactional team alongside two other members and will have ownership of the end-to-end AR function. You will also get the opportunity to drive change.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of the end-to-end AR process for international entities
  • Maintain accurate sales daybooks, cashflow receipts
  • Cash flow and daily bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting
  • Producing revenue forecasts and reports
  • Raising invoices
  • Getting involved with credit control
  • Maintain up-to-date debtor notes and correspondence logs
  • Ensuring third-party cost are within approved client project budgets, flagging any discrepancies to the account team for review
  • Assisting with month end such as fixed asset management and reconciliation

Skills required:

The successful candidate will have 1-5 years of experience with end-to-end accounts receivables in a multi-entity and currency environment. A degree education/ accounting studies are desired. Softer skills required would include attention to detail, excellent communication skills and a passion for payables.
