Technical experience includes:

Networking and Connectivity

• Knowledge of network architecture, IP routing, switches, and fiber optics.
• Understanding of bandwidth provisioning, cross-connects, and network redundancy.

Server and Hardware Fundamentals

• Basic understanding of server hardware, storage solutions, and virtualization technologies.
• Awareness of hardware lifecycle management and maintenance.

Security and Compliance

• Knowledge of physical security measures (access controls, surveillance).
• Understanding of compliance standards relevant to data centers, such as ISO 27001, SOC, PCI DSS, and GDPR.

Power and Cooling Systems

• Familiarity with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, and cooling solutions.
• Ability to discuss energy efficiency and power usage effectiveness (PUE).

IT Infrastructure Management

• Experience with remote management tools and monitoring systems.
• Understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup solutions.

Sales Engineering Skills

• Ability to translate technical features into business benefits.
• Skills in assessing client needs and designing tailored solutions.

Regulatory and Environmental Knowledge

• Awareness of legal and environmental considerations affecting data center operations.

Nice to have:

Data Center Infrastructure Knowledge

• Understanding of physical data center components such as power systems, cooling, rack infrastructure, cabling, and fire suppression.
• Familiarity with data center standards and best practices (e.g., Uptime Institute Tier classifications, ASHRAE guidelines).
