CPO / Driver

Role Purpose

CPOs may operate as part of a team (team leader, driver, close protection) or as a single agent, depending on the risk level. A Close Protection Officer (CPO) Driver is responsible for the secure, punctual, and discreet transportation of a principal, combining executive driving with personal protection.

Key duties include

Advanced defensive driving, route reconnaissance, vehicle maintenance, and emergency response, ensuring the principal is safe during transit and boarding.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

 Risk Assessment and Planning: Conducting detailed threat assessments and reconnaissance on locations and routes before the client arrives.

 Close Protection (Bodyguarding): Providing 360-degree security while in close proximity to the principal (client) to protect them from threats.

 Secure Transportation: Providing driving services, including evasive techniques and route planning, to ensure safe transport.

 Emergency Response: Providing immediate medical support (first aid/CPR) and tactical response to breaches.

 Intelligence Gathering: Gathering information to identify potential security threats in advance.

 Professionalism and Discretion: Maintaining a low profile when necessary and ensuring the client's privacy and confidentiality.

 Advanced Driving & Vehicle Security: Conducting secure, evasive, and defensive driving techniques, such as anti-ambush drills, skid control, and maneuvering through high-risk environments.

 Route Reconnaissance and Planning: Planning routes, identifying "safe havens" and hospitals, and scanning for potential threats, including managing "clean" and "dirty" arrivals/departures.

 Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring the vehicle is in optimal condition, conducting regular safety checks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring fuel levels are always adequate.

 Personal Security and Protective Driving: Escorting the principal in and out of the vehicle, managing pedestrian traffic, and remaining vigilant against surveillance or potential attacks.

 Situational Awareness: Maintaining high levels of observation for suspicious activity or vehicles that may be tracking the convoy.

 Communication: Providing real-time updates to the security team and the principal while maintaining strict confidentiality.

 Emergency Response: Reacting swiftly to emergencies, including navigating unexpected dangers and providing first aid Key Skills

 Situational Awareness: Maintaining constant vigilance of surroundings to pre-empt dangers.  Defensive Tactics: Utilizing physical intervention techniques and, if authorized, firearms for protection.

 Communication: Coordinating with local law enforcement, team members, and the client.  Crisis Management: Making rapid, effective decisions in high-stress situations. Essential Requirements:

 Advanced Training: Proficient in defensive driving, evasive techniques, and close protection protocols,

 High-End Experience: Ability to operate different types of vehicles, from armoured to luxury

 Physical Condition: Excellent physical fitness to handle the demands of the job.

 Confidentiality and Professionalism: Maintaining a discreet and professional demeaner at all times,
