• Responsibilities:

• Prepare a range of deli food items according to approved recipes, production requirements, and quality standards.

• Complete preparation, cooking, portioning, garnishing, and presentation of food as required.

• Ensure food is consistently prepared to the required taste, texture, appearance, and portion specifications.

• Follow production schedules and ensure required food items are ready for service at the agreed times.

• Monitor food quantities and communicate shortages or additional requirements to the relevant chef or manager.

• Minimise food waste through appropriate preparation, storage, portion control, and stock rotation.

• Assist with the preparation of special menu items and catering requirements when required.

• Comply with all applicable food safety, hygiene, health and safety requirements and campus procedures.

• Support the Events Chef in the preparation and execution of functions, events, and catering activities.

• Assist with food preparation, plating, portioning, garnishing, buffet setup, and service requirements.

3. Education Requirements:

• Relevant culinary qualification or formal cookery training.

4. Experience Required:

• Minimum of 2 years general administration and experience in a similar environment.
• Previous experience working in a professional kitchen, deli, catering operation, hospitality environment, or similar setting.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking techniques, food safety and hygiene.
