Job description

Morgan & Westfield is a U.S.-based Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) advisory firm specializing in the sale of privately held businesses.

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and client-focused Client Manager to oversee client engagements from onboarding through closing.

This is not a traditional client service role. We are looking for someone who can successfully manage multiple concurrent projects, coordinate numerous stakeholders, maintain momentum, and deliver an exceptional client experience throughout the transaction process.

This is a permanent, full-time position for someone seeking a long-term career opportunity with significant growth potential. We are committed to developing, supporting, and retaining high-performing team members for the long term.

About the Role

As a Client Manager, you will act as the primary relationship manager for business owners throughout the business sale process. You will coordinate communication and activities between sellers, buyers, attorneys, accountants, lenders, and internal team members, ensuring every stage of the engagement progresses efficiently and deadlines are met.

This is not a sales role. You will not be responsible for cold calling, lead generation, or selling services. Instead, your focus will be on project management, client communication, coordination, and ensuring a smooth and professional transaction process.

You will be responsible for maintaining transaction momentum, identifying and resolving bottlenecks, and ensuring a consistently high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and client service.

  • Review documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and client files.
  • Coordinate and attend meetings and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
  • Escalate issues proactively before they become problems.
  • Deliver a world-class client experience throughout the transaction process.

Requirements

  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to read and understand basic financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Professional, polished, and confident when interacting with business owners, executives, and professional advisors.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems, software, and business processes.
  • Ability to work during U.S. Eastern Time (ET) business hours.

  • Client Success Management
  • Account Management
  • Project Management
  • Business Administration
  • Mergers & Acquisitions (preferred but not required)

What We're Looking For (our ideal candidate)

  • Takes ownership and follows through.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Is highly responsive and dependable.
  • Thinks critically and solves problems proactively.
  • Communicates professionally and confidently.
  • Balances multiple clients and priorities without sacrificing attention to detail.
  • Wants to build a long-term career rather than simply fill a position.
