Cleaning Supervisor

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily operations across multiple sites in Johannesburg. This is a hands-on, on-site role that requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and consistent engagement with cleaning teams and clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining service quality, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily cleaning operations across assigned residential and commercial sites
• Plan and manage staff schedules to ensure full coverage and efficient use of resources
• Lead, train, and support cleaning staff to maintain performance and morale
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards, safety compliance, and company procedures are met.
• Manage and execute project plans and ensure timelines and departmental deliverables are met
• Assist with investigations and report writing
• Address client queries, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally
• Monitor service quality and implement corrective actions where required
• Maintain professional conduct at all times when dealing with staff and clients
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, including stock control and basic maintenance
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
• Keep accurate records of inspections, staff performance, attendance, and supply usage
• Promote correct cleaning methods and responsible use of chemicals and equipment

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in commercial cleaning, with proven supervisory or team leadership experience
• Matric (Grade 12) is essential
• Solid knowledge of commercial cleaning processes, equipment, and chemicals
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and time management abilities
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
• Proficient in computer literacy, including email and spreadsheets
• Valid driver’s licence is essential, with at least 2 years’ driving experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends when required
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the cleaning industry

Pay: R5 700,00 - R6 500,00 per month
