The incumbent drives business-process analysis and improvement, supports the SAP project and support teams throughout the delivery lifecycle, and ensures that delivered solutions meet TNPA business needs and the agreed SLAs.
Responsibilities

- Document business requirements specifications, functional specifications, process maps (as-is / to-be) and use cases to a standard suitable for SAP configuration and development.
- Analyse and re-engineer business processes, identifying opportunities to optimise and standardise processes through SAP capability.
- Translate business requirements into functional designs in conjunction with SAP functional and technical consultants and hand over specifications to ABAP developers and configurers.
- Facilitate fit-gap analysis between business requirements and standard SAP functionality and recommend appropriate solution options.
- Support the development of test scenarios and test cases, participate in functional, integration and user-acceptance testing (UAT), and validate that solutions meet requirements.
- Manage requirements traceability and support change requests through the change-control process.
- Support end-user training, prepare user documentation and provide business-facing support during cut-over and hyper-care.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, the SAP team, vendors and the ICT Project Manager, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, issues and resolutions.
- Provide input into solution designs to ensure alignment with TNPA’s business objectives and enterprise architecture.
Position Challenges
- Reconciling differing requirements across multiple ports and business units into standardised, sustainable solutions.
- Translating operational port business language into precise SAP functional specifications.
- Managing scope and stakeholder expectations across concurrent SAP initiatives.
Decision Making
- Determine the analysis approach and elicitation techniques appropriate to each engagement.
- Recommend solution options and process improvements based on fit-gap analysis.
- Assess and advise on the business impact of change requests and defects.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree / National Diploma in Information Systems, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Business Analysis certification (e.g. IIBA-CBAP / CCBA or equivalent) is advantageous.
- 5–7 years’ business-analysis experience, including demonstrable experience on SAP implementation and / or support projects.
- Experience across one or more SAP functional areas (e.g. Finance, Logistics, Materials Management, Sales & Distribution).
- Knowledge of both waterfall and agile delivery methodologies.
Skills Required
- Strong requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation and process-modelling skills (e.g. BPMN, ARIS or Visio).
- Understanding of SAP business processes and integration between SAP modules.
- Experience with functional and UAT testing and defect management.
- Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation and stakeholder-engagement skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
