Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant

Location: Rosebank, Johannesburg North

Salary: R17,000 – R20,000 per month

Ergasia Placements is recruiting for a Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to join the finance team of a dynamic organisation operating within the sports and lifestyle sector.

We are looking for a smart, hardworking and detail-oriented individual who has a positive attitude, a solid understanding of accounting principles and a willingness to learn.

The successful candidate will provide day-to-day finance and administrative support while working closely with the finance and project teams.

Own reliable transport would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Booking travel for clients and staff
• Raising purchase orders
• Capturing supplier invoices
• Processing manual payments
• Preparing payment summaries in Excel
• Invoicing clients
• Reconciling client statements
• Assisting project teams with finance-related duties
• Providing general office and administrative support

Qualifications

A relevant bookkeeping, accounting or financial management qualification would be advantageous, including:

• Higher Certificate in Bookkeeping
• ICB Bookkeeping Certificate
• Higher Certificate in Accounting
• Higher Certificate in Financial Management
• Occupational Certificate: Bookkeeper
