Job description
INVNT GROUP is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our Accounts Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, capturing daily financial transactions on Xero, managing retail store cash-ups, and providing regular financial reports to management.
The role requires strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping
- Capture and maintain daily financial transactions on Xero.
- Ensure all financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash.
- Maintain organized financial documentation and records.
Retail Operations Accounting
- Verify and reconcile daily retail store cash-ups.
- Investigate and report any cash shortages or discrepancies.
- Ensure all card payments and transaction slips correspond with POS records.
- Monitor daily sales reports and reconcile them with deposits.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Capture supplier invoices and prepare payments.
- Maintain supplier accounts and reconcile statements.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up where necessary.
- Assist with issuing invoices to clients where required.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare weekly and monthly expense reports for management.
- Assist in preparing monthly management accounts.
- Provide financial summaries and reports to support decision making.
General Bookkeeping Duties
- Maintain the general ledger.
- Assist with VAT preparation and documentation where required.
- Support the preparation of financial information for accountants or auditors.
- Assist with budgeting and expense tracking.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
Experience
- Proven bookkeeping experience
- Xero accounting software experience – Mandatory.
- Experience working with retail , BPOs financial transactions and cash-ups will be advantageous.
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance (preferred but not mandatory with sufficient experience).

- Professional and discreet with financial information.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team environment.
