The Role ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER – GEORGE

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in the effective management of a large store’s operations to ensure profitability, excellent customer service, staff development, and operational efficiency,

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operational Management
• Sales and Profitability
• Stock Control and Merchandising
• Staff Management and Leadership
• Customer Service
• Administration and Compliance

Skills and Experience MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12 (Matric).
• Three to five years of retail management experience.
• Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, retail management systems and SIGMA.
• Knowledge of stock control, budgeting, and merchandising principles.
• Valid driver’s licence (preferred).
• The successful applicant must reside in or around George area.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI’S):

• Achievement of sales targets.
• Customer satisfaction levels.
• Reduction of stock losses and shrinkage.
• Compliance with the company’s standards and policies.
• Staff productivity and development.
• Effective cost management.
• Store presentation and housekeeping standards.

Other WORKING HOURS:

The Assistant Store Manager will be expected to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, according to operational requirements.
