ACA Design + Architecture Studio is a Stellenbosch-based architectural practice working across healthcare, residential, retail and commercial sectors. Our healthcare portfolio includes public hospital projects delivered privately and under Western Cape Government Health and Wellness procurement.

The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to take ownership of technical documentation across our project portfolio. This is a hands-on technical role in a small studio, offering direct client and consultant contact and involvement in significant healthcare infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce coordinated technical documentation from concept to construction using Revit
• Set up and maintain project BIM models, families, templates and drawing standards
• Coordinate with structural, civil, electronic, electrical, mechanical, wet services and fire consultants
• Prepare drawing packages for local authority submission, tender and construction
• Resolve technical detailing and building envelope junctions
• Apply SANS 10400 and health facility design standards
• Conduct site inspections and prepare related documentation

Pay: R20 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month

Application Question(s):

• Minimum requirements
• Recognised qualification in architectural technology or architecture (National Diploma, B.Tech, BAS or equivalent)
• 4+ years' post-qualification experience in architectural practice
• Advanced Revit proficiency with demonstrable full documentation set output
• Working knowledge of SANS 10400 and South African building control
• Strong technical detailing ability

Advantageous

• Healthcare or hospital project experience
• SACAP registration
• Western Cape local authority submission experience
• Afrikaans language ability
• Experience mentoring junior staff
