Location: ZAF - Durban, Quarry Park Close
Job Posting Title: Administrative Specialist
Time Type: Full Time
- Manage and work through the queueing system in the Durban Pricing Box. Apply all relevant local and overseas charges in accordance with the applicable Incoterms. Capture and populate pricing data accurately across all required systems once supplier charges are received.Generate customer estimates/quotations in a timely manner. Perform quality control (QC) checks on all estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness. Issue estimates to customers through Dynamics. Maintain continuous follow-up on outstanding rates with local and international suppliers to ensure prompt quote turnaround times. Drive quotation conversion by focusing on improving the win ratio through competitive pricing, accuracy, and customer responsiveness.
Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience within the shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
Experience in Ocean Freight Imports and Exports, Air Freight Imports and Exports will be considered an advantage.
Sound understanding of international freight forwarding processes, shipping documentation, and Incoterms.Ability to source, analyse, and apply freight rates and charges accurately.
Experience working with multiple carriers, shipping lines, and service providers to obtain competitive pricing.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet quote turnaround deadlines, must be able to work overtime when required
Ability to effectively access and utilize: Microsoft Dynamics Advantage
