Africorp Accounting supports some of South Africa’s largest corporate clients with tax compliance, including accounting, bespoke software, tax and compliance services.

We are seeking a technically strong and client-focused Qualified Accountant to join our team in George or Cape Town (Waterfront) offices.

Requirements:

• BCom Accounting with Honours
• Completed articles
• 3 to 5 years' relevant experience
• Consultancy or financial industry experience will be beneficial
• Trust experience will be beneficial
• Management experience or relevant managerial experience
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SME’s

Key Duties:

• Full accounting function through to Annual Financial Statement drafting and sign-off
• Trust financial accounting and tax reporting (tax computation, attribution application)
• Supervising junior trainee accountants on month-to-month work
• Managing a portfolio of clients with a business-minded approach
• Upholding the highest professional standards with strong attention to detail
• Ensuring compliance and staying abreast of the latest regulatory requirements
