Accountant
Onsite - based in Sandton
R30,000-R40,000 CTC per month (can be neg for right candidate)
About the Role
Our client is a fast-moving technology company at the forefront of digital experience, innovation, and intelligence-led solutions. As the business continues to scale, they're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team, reporting directly to the Head of Finance

What You'll Be Doing
- Processing daily accounting transactions in Sage Accounting
- Performing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Preparing monthly management accounts
- Handling month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Preparing and submitting VAT, PAYE, UIF and SDL returns
- Assisting with provisional tax and corporate income tax compliance
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating discrepancies
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Ensuring compliance with South African accounting and tax regulations
- Liaising with SARS, auditors, banks and external service providers
- Supporting process improvements across the finance function
What You'll Need
Education
- Matric/Grade
- 3-Year Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
Experience
- 3–5 years' accounting experience in a similar role, ideally in a similar industry
- Advanced Excel skills
- Practical experience with Sage Accounting (essential)
- Hands-on experience with SARS e-Filing and tax submissions (essential)
- Advanced knowledge of VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL and Corporate Income Tax
Skills
- Strong grasp of South African accounting principles
- Sharp attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
- Discretion with confidential information
- Reliable, ethical, and able to work independently under pressure
